KSS Non-conflict minerals policy
Non-conflict minerals policy (Non-conflict minerals policy)

Conflict-affected and high-risk areas have led to numerous social and environmental issues through metal extraction and trade, including human rights violations and armed violence, causing international controversy. Such metals include Tantalum (Ta), Tin (Sn), Tungsten (W), Cobalt (Co), and Gold (Au). Metals from the DRC and its neighboring conflict areas are referred to as Conflict Minerals.
KSS(KSS), as a corporate citizen, to uphold human rights and not support illegal activities in conflict areas, we support the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSi) for responsible mineral sourcing and adhere to the guidelines of the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). We also announce our non-conflict metals policy on our official website, fulfilling our social responsibility.

We are committed"Not to purchase or use conflict minerals"
  1. Not to purchase conflict minerals produced from conflict-affected and high-risk areas.
  2. To require our suppliers not to use conflict minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas, and to sign a non-conflict minerals commitment to our company. If sourced from conflict areas, they must come from third-party verified conflict-free mines and smelters. If conflict minerals are unintentionally used in our products, they must notify us immediately to take necessary measures.
  3. Our company also conducts due diligence on the metal sources of our suppliers, expecting our suppliers to comply with the non-conflict minerals policy. Through responsible procurement management, we ensure that our procurement sources do not come from conflict areas and meet customer and regulatory requirements.
